With the recent hurricanes and the devastation on the Gulf coast, many families are now worrying about how they will survive and just trying to get thru the aftermath with little or nothing left.

These families have children who are now frightened, confused ,emotionally traumatized and so much more.. The parents are worried about supporting their families, food, shelter and other necessities of everyday life.

With the holiday season just a little over 3 months away, there are those children or teens who will have no Christmas presents on Christmas morning much less a tree or home or anything that would even remotely allow them to enjoy this holiday.

The parents have so much worry at this time that they themselves cannot even begin to think of how they will give their children a Christmas their focus is on surviving and getting through everything that has happened to what they have worked so hard for all of these years.

They have lost their feeling of security, some may have lost a loved one such as a parent, grandparent, brother, sister. Many have lost their jobs due to the economy , storms, floods and suddenly they loose all their personal possessions as well due to the recent hurricanes.

The Sample Cake owners , affiliates, sponsors and their families understand that even a little help is better than no help, we understand that parents at the moment have more worries than they need or deserve. We have decided to try to ease some of these families worry with the holidays right around the corner by creating this fundraiser for the children, so that the parent can worry about the other important necessities.

With sales from www.thesamplecake.com and donations from different sources, visitors online, owners,sponsors , affiliates, we hope to ease a few more of the parents worries by raising funds to purchase gift cards for these children and teens to have on Christmas. .

This in return allows the parents a small amount of relief and allows the children even if its only for a short time to just be children and teens and forget all the chaos in their lives at the moment.

Each child will receive a gift card valued at approximately 10.00-25.00. This may not sound like a lot , but this will allow a child to at least have something from Santa on Christmas. This will also allow them for a short time to smile and be excited. something they probably have not been in days, weeks or months.

Your donation can make this happen , it will help us accomplish the goal of 100 or more children. It will help us accomplish the goal of giving a child at least a smile during the holiday.

Please keep in mind that your donation may be tax deductible. Please keep in mind that this is for children to make their lives a little calmer or secure during this time.  It doesn't matter if it is just $1.00 everything helps.
